Nithish Mahajan joined Ratna Gears Pvt. Ltd. in 2012 and has since played a key role in expanding the
company’s global presence in the gear manufacturing industry. With a deep understanding of the Indian
market and its capabilities, he identified early opportunities for international expansion and led Ratna
Gears’ journey into exports.
In 2014, Ratna Gears achieved its first export milestone with the supply of bevel gears to Vietnam,
followed by market exploration in Uganda, which unlocked significant opportunities in Nigeria, where
the company established strong and lasting footprints. Building on this success, Nithish spearheaded
Ratna Gears’ entry into the United States market, serving the US defence sector through a strategic
collaboration with an American partner based in Florida.
The company later diversified into the oil and gas sector, where Ratna Gears now supplies
approximately 150,000 gear components per month, demonstrating its scale and manufacturing
strength.
Under his leadership, Ratna Gears has developed the capability to manufacture gears ranging from 30
mm to 2 metres in diameter, with exports accounting for nearly 80% of the company’s total turnover,
firmly positioning Ratna Gears as a globally competitive player in gear technology.
